Plot summary
Born slightly different from the rest of the herd, the half-striped South African zebra Khumba faces exile when his superstitious companions blame him for a long-term drought that befalls the Great Karoo. Away from the safety of his birthplace, the unique zebra heads out with nurturing wildebeest Mama V and ostentatious ostrich Bradley in search of a fabled magical watering hole deep in the realm of the feral half-blind African leopard Phango.—Nick Riganas
